President of Jamhuriya University Mohamed A. Mohamud attended an iftar dinner hosted by the Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education, MP Eng. Abdullahi Abukar Haji held for Mogadishu Universities.

 

The Minister complimented the role of universities in rebuilding the country and urged them to redouble their efforts to provide quality education to Somali students.

 

During the meeting, there was a lot of discussion about the challenges facing Somali universities in foreign recognition, especially in Turkey, and the Minister shared with the universities that the university evaluation work of the Higher Education Commission has been completed and within a short time, the ministry will publish the results of this assessment and will share it with the relevant authorities to find a lasting solution to the identity problem of students studying abroad.
