Congratulations to Dr. Abdifetah Ibrahim Omar and his co-authors on publishing his new article, “Antibiotic resistance pattern of Escherichia coli isolates from outpatients with urinary tract infections in Somalia” in the The Journal of Infection in Developing Countries (JIDC).

Dr. Abdifetah Ibrahim Omar is a researcher and lecturer in the faculty of medicine and health sciences. The article is being published in The Journal of Infections In Developing Countries; an international journal indexed in web of sciences (ISI), Scopus, and Pubmed with good impact factor. This paper discusses the problem of antibiotic resistance in particularly urinary tract infection. It aims to guide the clinicians on appropriate and cost-effective antibiotic therapy in particular for UTI. This study is one of its kind to be published from Somalia to an international journal.
